The HoHoKus School charges no placement fees to either graduate or employer, thus ensuring you every opportunity to meet your career goals. The HoHoKus School of Business and Medical Sciences was established in HoHoKus, New Jersey, in 1968 as a career-oriented school. In 2001 the school moved to its present location in Ramsey, New Jersey. Totally renovated, the building offers tastefully decorated surroundings that provide a pleasant learning environment. The borough of Ramsey, in Bergen County, is just 3 miles from Rockland County, New York, and approximately 15 miles northwest of New York City. The HoHoKus School is easily accessible to all major highways and offers on-site and near-by parking. Ramsey is also served by bus and railroad lines. The HoHoKus School offers the most modern state of the art equipment available today. Classrooms are air-conditioned, and comfortable lounges and dining areas are provided. Three complete redesigned computer laboratories with Pentium 4 computers ensure each student a workstation for ample hands-on experience. Machine transcription machines are provided to familiarize students with current office procedures. The fully-equipped medical laboratory duplicate's a physician's examination room. Nineteen-privately screened areas are used in correlation with Sonography, EKG, and patient care training. Clinical training includes hands-on practice with diagnostic imaging equipment, Reflotron, centrifuge, Hemacue, autoclave, QBC, EKG, and prostheses. Medical laboratory practice includes vital signs, routine urinalysis, hematocrit, hemoglobin, and certifying students in the procedures of EKG, CPR, First Aid, venipuncture, and OSHA.
The HoHoKus School makes every effort to assist handicapped students with convenient parking and seat assignments; however, the building is not completely accessible. HoHoKus School is a commuting school; thus there is no boarding available at the school.

Articulation agreements for the transfer of credits exist with local colleges, Thomas Edison State College has chosen The HoHoKus School as the first school in the State to be affiliated as a "Degree Partner". This Letter of Understanding allows graduates of HoHoKus School's Programs to apply for up to 45 semester hours of appropriate ACE (American Council on Education) credit recommendations towards Thomas Edison State College's Associate of Applied Science Degree requirements. The HoHoKus School is accredited by the Accrediting Council of Independent Colleges and Schools, and has been evaluated by the American Council on Education, which has determined that our courses are equivalent or similar to those taught at the college level.
